Thank You Jack!

Tonight is Jack Sande’s last night with us as Interim Youth Leader. Jack has faithfully served this entire school year, coming every Tuesday night to lead our Guys’ Night.  He has shared life-changing Biblical Devotions and led some epic games!  He will be missed.  Jack is wrapping up his time at Grand Canyon University and then returning to his home state of Washington to be a Youth Leader there.  Thank you Jack!  For your humble, fun, and faithful service!

Next Steps Ministry Appeal

Thank you to those who submitted proposals for the Next Steps Ministry Appeal.  The pastors are prayerfully taking time to go over all of them.  The next details will be shared this fall.  More information on the appeal is posted on our website: lacasadecristo.com/nextsteps

Next Staff Meeting

May 4 is our next staff meeting.  Remember, you are welcome to come dressed for the occasion – or to celebrate in a special way – May the Fourth be with you and with our Staff Meeting.

April Birthdays Celebration

Please mark your calendar: April 29, noon, we will be celebrating April Birthdays.

Hunger and Thirst

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” – Matthew 5:6

I am excited that we will be participating again this summer in the big water drive.  Thanks to Derik for his leadership with this.  In 2024 La Casa brought in 16,440 bottles.  In 2025 the church brought in 20,422 bottles!  I look forward to the 2026 results.  All water is given to the Phoenix Rescue Mission for their annual program: “Code Red – providing life-saving water, heat relief, and critical care to neighbors in need.”

Matthew 5, however, specifically welcomes a thirst for righteousness.  We are invited to be a people who hunger for ‘the right way of doing things.’  I suppose this includes times when people are watching and times when people are not watching.  May you be blessed as a person that hungers and thirsts for righteousness.

Logo Verse of the Day

“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
