Welcome Christopher Roberts!
Please welcome Christopher Roberts as our new  Youth Leader, working under Suzan.  Suzan is the Youth Director.  Christopher is coming on as a Youth Leader.  Christopher grew up at La Casa de Cristo and has been a faithful member of the church.  He was involved in the youth group; which makes him already familiar with the program.  Even more importantly, Christopher is a faithful follower of Christ and a mature Christian model for us all.  We are very excited to have him join our staff.  Christopher will be graduating from ASU this spring, then he will begin his work with the youth in June.  His first week on La Casa staff will be at the Middle School camp in Sedona (first week of June).  Then, you will begin seeing him around campus after that.  Here is a message from Christopher:

“Hi, my name is Christopher Roberts, and I am a youth leader here at La Casa de Cristo. I have been blessed to be a part of this church for most of my life and truly love La Casa. Having gone through the programs here at La Casa, like confirmation, I understand firsthand how transformative this church is. I am a graduate of Arizona State University and will marry my high school sweetheart, Isabel, in 2026. I am a native of Arizona and enjoy traveling and playing guitar. I am grateful to be part of this community and look forward to growing together in faith.”

Welcome Christopher!

This news is being shared with the youth tonight.  Please do not share this news until the youth have heard it tonight at their overnighter.

Jesus
“He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power.” – Hebrews 1:3
What a powerful verse!  But an even more powerful Christ!  Jesus is the radiance of the glory of God.  An incredible image!  Jesus is the exact imprint of God’s nature.  Or, another way of saying this: Jesus is the exact representation of God’s being.  This is why we say in the Creed, that Jesus is “God from God, Light from Light, True God from True God.”    Jesus holds the universe by his power.  He is the Almighty One!

Logo Verse of the Day

“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
